"The Getaway Car"

What started as a lighthearted wedding project quickly became a 4-minute short film about love, family, and legacy. Set in Lancaster County, The Getaway Car celebrates how storytelling can turn even familiar traditions into something unforgettable.

🎉 Official Selection – Red Rose Film Festival (Lancaster, PA, Nov 6-9, 2025) Praised by audiences and festival judges alike, The Getaway Car was called “the kind of film that captures how one feels on their wedding day — full of joy, nostalgia, and heart — like Pixar’s UP.”

Take a dive into how we turned a simple wedding entrance film into a festival-selected short film.

This is by far one of my favorite projects I’ve ever made, and it means even more to have it play at the Red Rose Film Festival. On top of that, this film was recently selected as a finalist in the Clown International Film Festival in Paris, France — something I’m incredibly grateful and excited about. The continued support and buzz around this piece has been unreal. With all that momentum, I wanted to take you behind the scenes.

This BTS breaks down how we pulled off this film with a tiny crew, a tight budget, and one shooting day — and still created something that resonated with people. Written and directed by Chad George, this behind-the-scenes gives you a front-row look at how we approached lighting, blocking, and storytelling, plus some true guerrilla-style filmmaking moments. You’ll see what it’s like on set with me, and how challenges often lead to those “happy accidents” that end up making a production even better.
